Urban and Regional Planning Master’s Program – Diponegoro University is carrying out Field Study and Work activities for Even Semester Students in 2022/2023. This activity is part of the Planning Studio course and was carried out on 16-21 October 2023 at Lombok- Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB). A total of 11 students and 1 supervisor visited several places including:
Muhammadiyah University of Mataram (UMMAT), was welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the Head of the URP Program and one from the studio course supervisor, namely Fariz Primadi Hiran. This visit discussed the role of academics and stakeholder collaboration in the development of the NTB region and province as well as an overview of studio learning process at the Muhammadiyah University of Mataram.
Lombok Tengah Regency – Regional Research and Innovation Development Planning Agency (BAPPERIDA), Head of the Economic and Physical Division of BAPPERIDA and his staff, and public work and housing agency. What was carried out during this visit was a discussion about the development of the Mandalika SEZ, the role of the Lomnok Tengah government in the development of the Mandalika SEZ, the impact on the Lombok Tengah and surrounding areas, as well as community development of the Mandalika SEZ.
Visit to Sasak Ende Village to see the daily life of local people who still held the local wisdom in their daily lives.
Visit to ITDC (Mandalika SEZ), welcomed by the General Manager, Community Development and the local Project Management Office (PMO). This opportunity was used to discuss the progress of the Mandalika SEZ and its role in regional development on the island of Lombok, especially Lombok Barat regency and the affected surrounding villages.
Participated in the seminar “Strengthening Tourism Destination Governance Networks in 7 Tourism Villages in the Mandalika Area” which was carried out by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and ITDC in the Mandalika area, which was attended by 7 village governments around the Mandalika area, as well as inviting a pilot tourism village, Pentingsari Village, Yogyakarta
