On Tuesday, November 9, 2021, the seventh series of International Lecture Series 2021 activities with the theme Planning for Sustainable Cities and Regions were held online via Zoom and broadcast via the Youtube channel. The theme of this activity can generally be related to Sustainable Development Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). On that occasion, Assoc. The next session was followed by a presentation from Dr. Jawoto Sih Setyono from the Department of Urban and Regional Planning entitled “Indonesian Planning System-Sustainability Principles, Implementation, and Realities”. From this explanation, it can be seen that there is a complex planning system in Indonesia and various challenges in integrating spatial planning and development plans.
