The Public Lecture was held on Monday, January 20, 2020 at the Theater Room of the Department of Regional and City Planning, Diponegoro University. In this event there were 2 speakers from Hiroshima University, Dr. Makoto Chikaraishi and Dr. Tetsu Kubota. The event was held from 09.00-12.00 which was divided into 4 sessions, which was about 15 minutes of opening and introduction, then the nextt was presentation 15 minutes of questions and answers with Dr. Makoto Chikaraishi with the sesion of “On The Possibilities of Data-Driven Traffic Control and Management Under Road Network Disruption: A Case from Hiroshima, Japan”. The next is the presentation of “Introduction to SATREPS: Implementation of Low-Carbon Affordable Apartments in The Hot -Humid Climate of Indonesia Towards Paris Agreement 2030 “by Dr. Tetsu Kubota continued with 15 minutes of questions and answers.
“Introduction to SATREPS: Implementation of Low-Carbon Affordable Apartments in The Hot-Humid Climate of Indonesia Towards Paris Agreement 2030” by Dr. Tetsu Kubota, that in the process of development at least 5 data that had been standardized are useful, namely weather, people (comfort, habits), buildings (evaluation of the techniques used), energy use (current needs, and estimates of future needs) , and implementation (need development guidelines). Indonesia needs more energy-efficient buildings. Also, Dr. Tetsu Kubota explained that he and his team had succeeded in building the Tegal Experimental Flat as a low-carbon building. The building is a pioneer and best practice for other regions to be able to switch to utilizing low-carbon buildings to prevent the development of global warming issues.
