Master Program of Urban and Regional Planning (MPWK) UNDIP held an annual event, Studio Seminar and Exhibition of Fieldwork on Tuesday, June 18, 2019. The Seminar and Exhibition aims to showcase the work of Master and undergraduate students in Studio and Field Work. The studio seminar has a theme of “Planning and Management of the Area in the Border of Magelang “. The event was opened by the Head of Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Dr. Ir. Hadi Wahyono, MA by cutting the ribbon symbolically open the exhibition on the Building A Floor, 1st Floor DPWK. Then it was followed by an exhibition or expo of the studio and the Field Work/KKL.
The event continued with a seminar attended by guests from Government Staffs of the City and Regency of Magelang, including the Assistant Government of Magelang Regency, Head of Bapeda, Magelang City, and Head of Grabag Subdistrict. The Head of the Department, opened the seminar, followed by the presentation of the keynote speech from the Central Java Provincial Development Planning Agency, delivered by Mr. Debi Triasmoro, ST, MM. regarding “Implementation of Handling Fast-growing Regions and Borders Around Magelang”. At this seminar, the master program students also explained the results of the study in planning and managing the area around Magelang, including the area around the Borobudur Temple, Grabag Subdistrict, and the fast developing area in the city of Magelang through the studio. Three presentations representing each concentration in the Regional and City Development Masters Program, namely Spatial Planning Concentration, Regional Development Planning, and City Development Management. In accordance with the topic, the location chosen is parts of the City and Regency of Magelang.
Followed by discussion sessions, discussions according to seminar topics provide more in-depth insight into development of the study area. Through this seminar, many responses were obtained from the regional government in the form of appreciation and useful input. The event was also closed with the favorite exhibition booth award and had lunch together on the Building A Floor 1st Floor DPWK.
